Warehouse Racking
Push-Back Racking
Gravity-fed LIFO racking — store 2 to 5 pallets deep, all accessed from a single aisle.
Push-back racking is a gravity-based system that allows multiple pallets to be stored in depth on slightly inclined rails. When a pallet is removed from the pick face, the remaining pallets automatically roll forward to present the next one.
Compared to drive-in, push-back offers the density benefits of deep-lane storage with single-aisle access — the forklift never enters the structure, cutting damage rates and improving cycle time. Typically specified 2–5 pallets deep per channel.
Why specify Push-Back Racking.
- 01 2–5 pallets deep, single-aisle access
- 02 Reduced rack damage vs drive-in
- 03 Excellent space utilisation
- 04 Efficient LIFO pallet flow
- 05 Lower installation cost than gravity flow
